At hardly more than one hour from Marrakech, the Valley of Asni protests against side of some of the highest tops of the Atlas. It deploys the beauty and the purity of a nature still mainly intact and offers a haven of peace after the tumult of the red city. To reach this serene region, one will cross landscapes to the infinite nuances. One will imagine comfort of our vehicle, the life style which had its inhabitants in a past not so remote.

The mule tracks, the Douars with hillside or the shepherds carrying out their herd are a constant recall of the relativity of time. The arrival to Asni tends to break this contemplation. This village is not of any particular interest indeed but it marks the moment of the choice between continuing straight towards Marigha, Ouirgane and Tizi n’Test or forking towards Imlil and the djebel Toubkal, the climax of the Atlas.

Imlil and the Toubkal mount Charming the small village of mountain Imlil is the point of obliged passage of all the hikers who wish to undertake the 4167 m of the Toubkal mount. Located at 64 km of Marrakech, it is also a door of entry to the superb national park of Toubkal.

Created in 1942 and covering a surface of 38 000 ha, this park offers the possibility of making superb excursions. With the wire of time, the plates and cliffs alternate with boxed throats, the cypresses succeed the juniper trees in a true explosion of nuances and scents. The attraction exerted by Toubkal is however at the heart of Imlil life. It brings the large of the economic activity of the village and generates many initiatives.

One will find there mountain guides patented or muleteers for the assumption of responsibility of your material of bivouac and your bag. The people experienced and in good physical condition will be able to make a success of the rise of Toubkal and go down on Imlil in two days without any problem. The ideal period to do it is between June and September.

Marigha, simply nature Separated of 10 km, Asni and Marigha offer a seizing contrast. Whereas Asni is a reproduction in small-scale model of the urbanization of the rural villages, Marigha still reflects the ancestral way of life of the inhabitants of the area.

Around the small village, orchards and olive groves follow one another and plunge us in the life simplicity and serene of the rural life. The few tourist infrastructures of the village make it possible of more than comfortably benefit from this countryside of mountain while varying the activities. Ballade in VTT rented with the Wild boar which smokes with idleness at the edge of the swimming pool of the Marigha olive grove, one will find a possibility of more or less active relaxation easily
