Oukaimeden: The Oukaïmeden station is located at 70 km in the south-east of Marrakech, at an altitude ranging between 2 600 meters (the plate) and 3 270 m (the top which one reaches in the chair-lift). This ski resort, the highest in Africa, also is the best equipped in Morocco. The current equipment is composed of a chair-lift and 6 skis-lift for a capacity of 4 000 skiers per hour on a skiable field relatively modest (300 ha) but interesting: 3 black tracks, 8 reds, 4 blue and 3 green. The snowing up of the station is very variable year by year but it is on average of 120 days between mid-December and mid-April. The climate is very pleasant because of altitude and the configuration of its site, with its plate and its lake of reserve; making it possible to Oukaïmeden to have completely favorable conditions for multi seasonal tourism with many mountain sports activities: skiing on piste, ski touring, fishing in the lake, excursions in rupestrian rackets, climbing. The site indeed forms part of the National park of Toubkal and represents a very interesting rupestrian site by its accessibility and quality of engravings. The chair-lift facilitates also the practice of the coasting flight (parapente and hang glider) and Oukaïmeden is also the hinged plate of infinity of circuits of all levels to foot, with ski or on mule. But it is also a station of Ideal Mountain for the stays in altitude, the relaxation and shape. Back
