A continuous training

The tadelakt:

Tadelakt is a lime brilliant and impermeable plaster which can be used in interior as well as outside. It is the traditional coating of the hammams and bathrooms of the riads and the palaces of Morocco. It has the characteristic "to be shoed" with a roller of river and to be treated with a dark soap.

It is carried out with lime of the area of Marrakech. Its aspect is soft and fine with undulations due to the work of the roller, its sealing makes it possible to use it for making bath-tubs and wash-hand basins.

In Arabic Tadelakt wants to say to caress, to mass. The coating "is patiently caressed" with a stone roller then "massed" with soft dark soap. Only the lime of the area of Marrakech gets the properties of sealing and depth to this very particular coating.

Its rusticity of manufacture, its impure minerality, added to the process of door-fitting application to the roller and penetration of the soft dark soap during the carbonation of surface, contribute to give to Tadelakt its beauty, its touch and its impermeability. Tadelakt was born from the meeting from a country lime with the singular minerality and artisanal know-how of the builders of the Moroccan imperial palaces.

Zellige, bejmat, ciment tile :

Artisanal material and entirely manual, the zellige, ciment tile made made on clay of Fès, naturalness or enamelled, are integrated perfectly into our interiors. The richness of the forms and the beauty of the colors make zellige an element of decoration privileged to magnificiently equip kitchens, bathroom, hammams, swimming pools and terraces. The choice of the compositions and the colors makes it possible to combine our modern life style to Eastern poetry.

Plasterworks :

The plaster is carried out starting from the gypsum. The gypsum is a natural stone which belongs to the family of the evaporites which are the sedimentary rocks most water soluble. Contrary to Europe the plaster is used according to the technique of moulding. In Morocco the plaster is worked by craftsmen sculptors or engravers, the realization is done on the building site because the Moroccan plaster hardens less quickly than the industrial plaster. The carved plaster mainly composes the Moroccan decorations, Riads, mosques, palaces, ceiling, etc.

Artisanal wrought iron

Completely impregnated of its Spanish origin the wrought iron respects only seldom the laws of the regulating layouts to which all the other disciplines are impregnated. It is generally used for the realization of the grids of windows, of the grids of terrace, the doors interior and external of the riads.

The work of wood is one of glories of the Moroccan craft industry

The moucharabieh :

In cedar, ebony or mahogany tree, the moucharabieh is a typical element of the Moroccan habitat. It is composed of wood rod turned, carved and intersected, letting appear small octagonal or spangled openings.

Applied to the windows, it preserves a space of intimacy and goodness shade, while letting pass the air, when heat is overpowering. Formerly, it made it possible to the women to observe without being seen.
